design + culture in business

Over the past thirteen years I have had the pleasure of helping businesses from a broad range of industries to understand their vision and brand culture. This has ranged from creating corporate images, to promotional material and brand development research and reporting to assist business to communicate the right message to resonate with their clients.

These testimonials are from the many clients I have worked with who have experienced the value of understanding and getting right to the heart of their brand culture.

I hope you enjoy their insights!

Mr Lydell Stokes - Senior Solutions Consultant and Director - A2K Technologies - formerly KarelCAD

Mr Michael Bourne - Principal - St. Mark's Catholic Primary School, Fawkner Victoria

I have been working as a consultant at St. Mark's Primary School since 2010 and in that time have assisted the school to clarify their brand, understand their community through extensive research, reporting and strategic development and continued consulting in family partnerships. Together with Michael, the families and the dedicated staff of St. Mark's we have created many new initiatives to improve the school culture through communication and building relationships between home and school to benefit all who make up the community of St. Mark's, particularly all of the children, who ultimately matter the most.

Over the past few years I have worked with several schools to assist them to understand their vision and brand culture. This has ranged from helping schools to understand their school community through research and workshops, how to build relationships between parents and teachers and clarifying and communicating their brand value to their current and future families.

Our successful school partnerships have included:

St. Mark's Primary School, Fawkner

St. Matthew's Primary School, North Fawkner

St. Martin de Porres Primary School, Laverton

St. Patrick's Primary School, Kilmore

St. Peter's Primary School, Bendigo

St. Michael's Primary School, North Melbourne

Holy Child Primary School, Dallas

St. Thomas More Primary School, Belgrave

St. Paul's Primary School, Monbulk

These testimonials are from the Principals and staff I have worked with who have experienced the value of understanding and getting right to the heart of their school culture.

Dr George Otero - Relational Learning, New Mexico, USA

I have had the pleasure of knowing George for 3 years and in that time have spent time discussing and having conversations around building strong communities in schools which ultimately effect the outcomes for student learning and social and emotional wellbeing.

Through our work with educators and families in schools we have been able to assist in creating awareness that change is needed in school culture to truly make a difference in the lives of all children and their families.

I travelled to New Mexico in 2013 with several Melbourne schools for a study tour conducted by George Otero to understand the issues in education in the USA and how we can learn from the various initiatives that are being implemented in New Mexico to assist in the building of community and helping those children and families in need.

Mr John Stafford - Team Leader, Family Engagement and Community Partnerships - Catholic Education Office, Melbourne, Victoria

I was invited to speak at the launch of the Parent Engagement in Action toolkit in 2013 where many school Principals and leaders were able to learn more about the resource and how to use it in their schools. Later in 2013 I had the pleasure of presenting to several schools in the cluster of Schools as Core Social Centres at the Catholic Education Office in Melbourne.

I was also then invited to join the CEOM parent seminar series for 2014 to speak with parents in schools about parent engagement in learning.

Mr Martin Prior - Cluster Engagement Leader - Catholic Education Office, Melbourne, Victoria

Over the past three years working as a consultant at St. Mark's Primary School I have worked alongside Martin Prior to assist in the implementation of family and community partnerships. Through Martin's work as a Family Partnerships Convenor, he has developed new intiatives and I have been able to provide him with insight into the community from a parent perspective. We both share a great ambition for change and can see the need to look at new and fresh methods to build awareness around learning and working together to achieve great things for the future of our children.
